The ST-990 XW is a high-quality, fully automatic welding helmet for beginners, advanced users and professionals. The 630 g lightweight 3-in-1 welding helmet complies with optical class 1/1/1/1 and is suitable for welding, plasma cutting, grinding and cutting work. The desired mode (weld, cut, grind) can be set quickly and easily. The fully automatic welding helmet is equipped with a real color filter cassette to enable true color reproduction during welding. With a reaction time of 1/35,000 seconds, the filter cassette quickly darkens to the set DIN level. Four high-performance sensors give the signal for darkening as soon as the arc occurs. The field of view of the filter cassette is 100 x 93 mm, giving you an optimum overview of the work area and workpiece at all times. The darkening levels can be set from DIN 5 to DIN 13 depending on the mode. The fade-in delay can be adjusted in three stages.

3 in 1 function - The multifunctional helmet is suitable for welding, plasma cutting and grinding and cutting work. The desired mode (Weld, Cut, Grind) is easily and quickly adjustable.
Optical Class - Top ratings in all class 1/1/1/1. Highest classification in optical quality, light scattering, light transmission fluctuation & angle dependence of light transmission classes.
Obscuration levels - The fully automatic welding helmet can be adjusted from DIN5 to DIN13. This provides the highest level of safety for virtually any welding process.
Real Colour - The welding helmet is supplied with a Real Colour filter cartridge, enabling true color reproduction.
Response Time - Within 1/35,000 seconds, the filter cartridge automatically dims to the set DIN level. Four high performance sensors give the signal as soon as the arc occurs.
Sensitivity - Infinitely adjustable. This controls from which brightness the filter cassette dims to the set darkening level.

Features & advantages

Delay - The fade-up delay is adjustable in 3 steps. The delay indicates the time after which the filter cartridge fades back to the normal brightness level (DIN4) after the arc is extinguished. This prevents the brightness of afterglowing metal from irritating the eyes.
Headband - The headband can be adjusted to fit almost any head size. Even while wearing! You adjust the width via the cross braces and the circumference via the knob at the back of the head.
Padding & Weight - Due to the padding on the front and the low weight of only 630 g, the helmet offers high comfort during welding & cutting work.
Field of view - The field of view always gives you a good overview of the workpiece thanks to its size of 100 mm x 93 mm.
Dioptric lens holder - The filter cartridge has a holder for dioptric lenses. Goggles under the helmet can then be dispensed with.
